The next operating system tv box Apple will bring no visible novelty but some integration improvements.

We expected a presentation, even brief, of tvOS 16 but in the end Apple did not deign to devote even a second to the next update of the Apple TV system.

A minor update with a few rare improvements under the hood

tvOS 16 will nevertheless be offered at the start of the school year to all owners of the TV box and for this revision, Apple will offer new integrations between its OS for televisions, iOS, iPadOS and watchOS.

The manufacturer mentions in particular personalized exercises made possible thanks to data collected on Apple Watches equipped with watchOS 9, information on the content being played displayed on the iPhone or even additional screens during a game played on the television. .

The app login system has also been overhauled and users will no longer have to enter their password or click on their profile to login.

Developers will finally have access to Swift UI, a set of tools that take advantage of Apple’s programming language to design their software and take advantage of the interfaces and various ergonomic elements offered by the manufacturer.

tvOS 16 will be launched at the start of the school year, probably in mid-September at the same time as iOS 16 and iPadOS 16. A public beta will be available from July for all users registered for the free trial program.
