Apple improves: iOS 14.0.1 fixes annoying errors

Just a week after the release of iOS 14, Apple submitted an update. Version 14.0.1 does not bring any new functions, but instead fixes some annoying bugs in the iPhone operating system.

With iOS 14, Apple has basically delivered a very solid update that, unlike its predecessor, does not cause any major problems. Nevertheless, there are a few bugs in the first version that are not serious, but are quite annoying. With iOS 14.0.1, Apple has made improvements, the 180 megabyte update fixes the following problems:

– Probably the most annoying bug concerns a function that iPhone users had to wait a long time for. IOS 14 gave them the option of setting their own standard browser and their own standard email app in the settings. A system restart, however, set Safari and Mail back as standard apps. After updating to iOS 14.0.1, this no longer happens.

The standard can be changed by going to the settings of a compatible e-mail or browser app Standard browser app respectively Standard mail app and then tick the desired application.

– Owners of an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus only saw black instead of the preview under iOS 14.0 in the camera app. When you install the update, you'll see what you're photographing again.

– If the iPhone was sometimes unable to establish WiFi connections after the major update, this problem has been resolved with iOS 14.0.1.

– If you write an e-mail, it is usually a more important matter, otherwise you tend to use messengers such as Whatsapp. So it is good that the update fixes a bug that prevented some service providers from sending emails.

– Finally, Apple corrected an issue where images could not be displayed in the news widget.

To install iOS 14.0.1, go to the settings under General to Software update and follow the instructions.
