  • The new iPhone 15 Pro series will be more expensive.
  • The reasons for this could be the materials and components used.
  • The non-Pro models may sell for the same price as their 2022 predecessors.

Apple will probably present its new smartphone models around the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max at its keynote in September. Even if there were only recently rumors about a later release, at least the announcement in autumn can be assumed. There were already indications at the beginning of July that the iPhone 15 could become noticeably more expensive.

This is now fueled by a recent report from 9to5Mac. The online magazine refers to a Bloomberg article that is behind a paywall. Accordingly, Apple is considering raising the prices for the Pro models, i.e. iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone Pro Max. There are currently no details about the amount of the price increase, but the regular versions iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus should be sold at the same price as the iphone 14

The increase in price may have something to do with the components or materials used in the Pro series. These are rumored to have a titanium case. The Pro Max model also has a periscope lens, which could have a larger optical zoom range.

Furthermore, the smartphone should have an A17 chip, which is produced using the 3-nanometer process. In addition to an increase in performance, this should also enable an improved connection with Vision Pro. In addition, the iPhone 15 Pro (Max) should have the thinnest display edges to date.
