In Apple’s chat app Messages, naked pictures are recognized and only sent or viewed after a warning – provided the function is activated. The new service should not be available to everyone until autumn.
Young people should be better protected with the new function from Apple.
(dpa) Apple is making its new youth protection functions, which also include warning messages for nude photos, available in Germany for the first time. Initially, however, only users of the beta test versions of the new operating systems for iPhone, iPad and Mac computers, which were made available to developers on Wednesday, can access them. They should not be usable for everyone until autumn.
