Three devices instead of one Apple headset? An industry insider speaks of two VR headsets and AR glasses that are to be released in 2023 and 2024.
A new Apple headset is currently just a rumor, but one that the internet is currently speculating about. Industry insider Jeff Pu now claims to the technology website 9to5Mac that Apple is currently not only working on a headset, but also wants to present three comparable devices in the next two years.
According to Pu, the first device is a mixed reality headset that can display both VR and AR and will be released in early 2023. According to the analyst’s surprising forecast, Apple will release its successor as early as the end of 2024. AR glasses are also to be presented at the end of 2024, which, unlike the other devices, will be heavily dependent on the iPhone.
Jeff Pu is an analyst at Haitong International Tech Research and should therefore have one or two contacts within the technology industry. However, these statements are still pure speculation. There has not yet been an official announcement for a new Apple headset.
