Apple: Singapore campus expansion project

(CercleFinance.com) – Apple announced Thursday that it plans to invest around $250 million to expand its ‘Ang Mo Kio’ campus, based in Singapore.

The American technology giant recalls that it opened its first offices in Singapore in 1981, with a staff of 72 people who were then dedicated to the marketing of the ‘Apple II’ computer.

The site, which serves as a ‘hub’ in Southeast Asia for software, product, service and maintenance professions, now employs more than 3,600 people.

As part of its work, which will begin by the end of the year, Apple plans to modernize two adjacent buildings, which it acquired in 2022.

As with all of its facilities, the campus will be powered entirely by renewable energy.
