Apple today unveiled its all-new line of Mac computers, including Mac Minis and MacBook Pros, all of which now feature the M2 and M2 Pro chips.
The M2-equipped Mac Mini is said to deliver up to 50% faster speeds with software like Adobe Photoshop compared to its M1-equipped predecessor, which was only two years old. Basically, you get a more capable compact desktop, for a starting price of $699.
Indeed, the Mac Mini M2, although it is clearly faster and more powerful than its predecessor, is sold at the same price. Starting today, you can pre-order the following configurations:
- Mac Mini with M2 chip, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD and two Thunderbolt 4 ports for €699
- Mac Mini with M2 chip, 8 GB of RAM, 512 GB of SSD and two Thunderbolt 4 ports for 929 €
- Mac Mini with M2 Pro chip, 16GB of RAM, 512GB of SSD, and four Thunderbolt 4 ports for €1,549

If you’re adventurous and go for the full Mac Mini, it’ll come with the M2 Pro chip, 12-core CPU, 19-core GPU, 8TB SSD, 10 gigabit ethernet port and will cost you 5229 €.
Whichever model you buy, the Mac Mini will come with two additional USB-A ports, an HDMI port, Gigabit Ethernet support, a headphone jack, and come in a silver color. There’s no Space Gray this time around. And thanks to the new M2 chip, Macs can support up to two displays at once, with the M2 Pro being able to expand to a full 8K monitor, a first for a Mac computer.
The new Mac Mini is available for pre-order today, with sales beginning Tuesday, January 24.
