Apple fans in Germany are still eagerly awaiting the market launch of the Vision Pro, although many testers are not yet sure exactly where the mixed reality headset will be used. At least for creative people, this could soon change.
As Gizmochina reports, Apple is currently researching accessories for the Vision Pro, more specifically a new Apple Pencil. This could enable users to use drawing or image editing programs such as Pixelmator Pro directly in VisionOS.
However, there are no further details regarding this rumor as to how Apple could integrate the stylus. Since the Apple Pencil 3 could be presented together with the new iPads, there is a possible connection here. It would be conceivable for inputs to move from the iPad screen into the virtual space – as a huge canvas, so to speak.
From the tablet into the virtual space
This would allow you to draw something on the tablet that could then be placed in the Vision Pro environment and perhaps edited further. The different pressure levels and the inclination of the pencil could then also be recognized.
However, these are vague rumors; not even compatibility between the Apple Pencil for the iPad and Vision Pro is certain. Apple may announce something along these lines at its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in May.
