Currently only sold in the United StatesL’Apple Vision Pro could soon benefit from a larger scale launch. In any case, this is what the integration of languages other than American English in the visionOS code suggests.
Are we heading towards an upcoming marketing of the Apple Vision Pro outside the American market? Although it is still too early to say, this is in any case the logical next step for Apple’s mixed reality headset… and a first clue now points to an international launch of the device. : the integration of new languages into the visionOS code.
Towards an upcoming international release?
In any case, that’s what MacRumors spotted in a portion of code of the operating system in question. The specialist media has in fact discovered that Apple has added support for no less than 12 new languages. This discovery suggests, without confirming anything at this stage, that the company plans to sell its headset in more markets.
This larger-scale launch of the Apple Vision Pro would be relevant to consolidate the commercial success of this first version of the headset. And conversely, the absence of an international launch would sound like an admission of failure for the product, which at this stage remains Apple’s very first foray into the mixed reality headset market.
France seems concerned
The list of languages added to the visionOS code directs us in any case towards marketing in certain European markets, but also in Asia, Oceania and North America. In all, 9 countries would be affected: France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, Australia, China, South Korea, Japan and Singapore.
We therefore conclude that France would be among the lucky ones. It now remains to be seen what the French price of the device would be, already very expensive across the Atlantic with a positioning of $3,499… excluding taxes.
In any case, here is the list of the 12 new languages expected on visionOS and discovered by MacRumors :
- Traditional Cantonese
- Simplified Chinese
- English (Australia)
- English (Canada)
- English (Japan)
- English (Singapore)
- English (UK)
- French (Canada)
- French France)
- German
- Japanese
- Korean
