After the iPad Pro, Apple reportedly intends to launch significantly refined versions of its other flagship products.

At the beginning of May, Apple released a new iPad Pro “ impossibly fine » equipped with an M4 processor. At just 5.1 millimeters thick, the tablet is presented as “ the thinnest Apple product ever “. And it seems that the iPad Pro M4 is the start of a fundamental trend.

In his weekly letter, Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman said he had learned that the Cupertino company would be working on a “significantly thinner” iPhone 17 for 2025. The goal is for the latest iPad Pro to mark the start of a new category of Apple devices that are expected to be the thinnest and lightest products in their class in the entire tech industry », writes the journalist.

A “slim” iPhone 17 that would come at a high price

Last month, The Information already mentioned an ultra-thin iPhone 17 which would mark a break in style similar to that of the iPhone The price of this new iPhone with an aluminum chassis, with a screen between 6.12 inches (iPhone) and 6.69 inches (iPhone Pro Max), would be higher than that of the iPhone Pro Max (1,479 € for the current iPhone 15 Pro Max).

According to Mark Gurman, the Apple Watch and the MacBook Pro would also be entitled to a slimming treatment. Apple could take advantage of the tenth edition of its connected watch to offer an in-depth stylistic overhaul. As for the MacBook Pro, its last update dates back to 2021 with the adoption of the Apple M3 processor and connectivity enriched with HDMI ports, MagSafe and an SD memory card reader.

Apple iPhone 15

  • A design that gains in elegance
  • The disappearing notch
  • Ultra bright screen

The iPhone 15 does better than its predecessor, and on every level! Equipped with a superb, very bright screen (but still 60 Hz), finally free of its notch, it is already establishing itself as a wonderful traveling companion for years to come.

More versatile than ever in photography, thanks to its new sensor offering 2x digital zoom which was sorely lacking in previous models, it clearly overshadows the iPhone 15 Pro. However, keep in mind that autonomy is a real stone in the shoe of this model, which makes us prefer the iPhone 15 Plus this year. Despite everything, we appreciate the move to USB-C, even if the USB 2.0 standard is far too dated.

The fact remains that Apple is making all the right choices this year to bring its “standard” range up to speed, where the Pro models tended to take too big a lead in terms of design as well as in terms of performance.
