Even before the Apple Watch Series 7 was unveiled to the world last September, its sequel was already full of rumors. At the time, some noise from the corridors evoked new health functions, spearheading the addition of a blood glucose sensor to the connected watch from Apple.
According to the journalist of Bloomberg Apple brand specialist Mark Gurman, generally reliable, we would finally be heading towards a year without major additions on the side of health sensors.
The journalist warns in his newsletter (through 9to5Mac) that we shouldn’t expect any major new features on the health sensor side for the Apple Watch 2022. However, he does not rule out the possible addition of a body temperature sensor, as well as improvements in the performance of the activity monitoring.
The end of the Apple Watch Series 3?
Where we can expect something new, however, is on the side of the other Apple Watch models where the journalist foresees “the largest in the history of the Apple Watch since the original model”.
We would thus see a refreshing of theApple Watch SEthe latest dating from 2020, as well as a new model of Apple Watch geared towards “Extreme sports“. Furthermore, theApple Watch Series 3still sold by Apple and which acts as an entry-level model, would finally retire.
