According to analyst Ross Young, the Apple Watch Series 8 would gain even more screen surface. The information would also have been seen in a note to investors which would support the arrival of a new case size for the next Apple watch.
Rumors continue to swirl about Apple’s next smartwatch. The Apple Watch Series 8 which should be accompanied by two other new models this year would get a new screen size. This time, the range should include a model that according to 9to5Mac could be around 50mm and have an even larger screen than the Series 7.
A screen size of almost 2 inches?
The information comes from analyst Ross Young, an often trusted industry source. This announces the arrival this year of a model larger than the current 45 mm case and which this time would display a screen diagonal of 1.99 inches.

It is impossible to know at this time what other sizes Apple will offer for its next watches. According MacRumorsthe information regarding this new screen size would have been corroborated in a note to investors mentioning that the subcontractor of Apple Luxshare would be the sole supplier of a 2-inch watch model.
A larger display area, but for which Apple Watch?
This new screen size would represent an increase in display area of about 5% compared to the 45 mm model of the Series 7. It is possible that this space saving is partly caused by the new more rectangular format expected for the Apple Watch Series 8.
This format, which would result in a new, flatter screen on the watch, would cause it to lose its curved appearance and would automatically increase the surface of the screen. These claims could also be attributed to the model rugged of the Apple Watch dubbed “Explorer Edition” which is also expected and is supposed to arrive at the same time as the new Series 8.
Since Apple watches have historically only been offered in two sizes, this third version could be intended for this new model that Apple would have in the boxes. We will therefore have to wait a little longer to find out what it really is, but it would seem that this time we are dealing with the biggest renewal of the Apple Watch range since its launch.
