“Apple Watch Ultra” for 50 euros: what can the clone from India do?

Apple is currently confronted with a large number of imitators on the Indian and Chinese markets. Companies like the Indian manufacturer Pebble build smartwatches in the design of the Apple Watch and then sell them at a ridiculous price. A clone of the Apple Watch Ultra has recently been available there for the equivalent of around 50 euros.

The watch is called Cosmos Engage and is based on the Apple Watch Ultra in many aspects. According to the manufacturer, the display should be 1.95 inches in size and even have an always-on function. The watch charges wirelessly and the charger is very reminiscent of Apple’s counterparts.

Just like the buttons of the watch and the operating system based on WatchOS. However, instead of titanium, the case is made of brushed metal. The features are said to include an all-in-one health suite that displays blood oxygen and heart rate. In addition, a blood pressure monitor should be installed, which Apple does not even have.

However, the first review videos from India do not leave a good hair on the smartwatch. The processing is enormously flawed, the clock is bulky and the operating system also leaves a lot to be desired, it says here. The functions shown are extremely slow and jerky. The Pebble Cosmos Engage is therefore probably not a cheap alternative to the Apple Watch Ultra.
