After countless postponements, Apple’s famous mixed reality headset finally seems to have found the right time to show itself.

Expected in the spring of 2023, then finally perhaps at the end of the fall, its presentation from all angles (and the announcement of a release date) will take place during the next Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) . In any case, according to Mark Gurman from Bloomberg.

This time, is it real?

The least we can say is that Apple’s new AR/VR headset is struggling to anchor itself in reality. After many rumors predicting an always different release period, things finally seem to be taking a concrete and logical turn.

As knowledgeable Mark Gurman points out in his new article at Bloomberg, the famous headset should be presented with great fanfare at the next Apple WWDC. If the American giant has not yet set a date for its annual high mass, it usually takes place in early June.

The Cupertino company will therefore present the device in great detail, which will certainly be the highlight of this conference. According to Mark Gurman, the release date of the helmet, scheduled for the end of 2023, should also be revealed there.

Still apple on the board

If Mark Gurman’s report proves to be correct, Apple therefore considers itself finally ready to present to the world the fruit of years of puzzles around its famous mixed reality headset. Plagued by several difficulties, both hardware and software, the device has long been desired.

Unless otherwise indicated, the American giant has in any case found the service provider to produce its new product in large quantities: Pegatron, a Taiwanese company. Still according to rumours, we should expect 700,000 or 800,000 copies produced initially.

It must be said that the AR / VR headset, which should bear the name “Reality Pro”, will not be for everyone. With apparently very advanced hand-tracking technology, the realistic rendering of a person called on FaceTime and other alleged “revolutions” of this kind, it will indeed fetch the modest price of around 3,000 euros.
