Apple is currently working on launching new iPad at the end of the year.

However, the production of these new iPad Pros and the new iPad has been affected by the recent heat wave.

The new iPad victims of the heat wave?

In all likelihood, Apple is preparing the launch of a new entry-level iPad (tenth generation) next September. Of course, production would have already started in China, and this new iPad could benefit from a revamped design. Apple should also formalize the new iPad Pro M2 later this year.

However, the production of new Apple tablets could be impacted by the heat waves currently affecting southwestern China. According to Ming-Chi Kuo, various factories were ordered to suspend their activity until August 20, in order to avoid a congestion of the electricity network, in a region where energy comes mainly from hydroelectric dams.

iPhone production soon to be affected?

The restrictive measures put in place by China would notably affect the sites of Foxconn in Chengdu and Compal in Chongqing, two production areas dedicated to the Apple iPad.

According to the analyst, the impact will remain quite limited, but if the situation does not improve by August 20, it is difficult to know precisely how big the impact will be on iPad supply for the end. of the year.

Note that similar restrictions cannot be ruled out with regard to other production sites in China, which may therefore affect the production of other Apple products. This would be a blow for the American giant, which intends to take advantage of the end of 2022 to renew its catalog.

Remember that the new iPad (entry level) should offer a brand new design, but also an A14 chip, a USB-C port and 5G compatibility. It remains to be seen now how much stock will be available at launch.
