Official for just a few hours, the MacBook Air M3 could not be the only new products planned by the brand in the short term. That’s what it says anyway MacRumors, who estimates that the firm would have other products on hand for the coming weeks. Here again, Apple would opt for a relatively discreet approach, with announcements via simple press releases, followed by marketing without emphasis, through updates to the Apple Store, and deployments of the products in question in the group’s physical stores. No specific event would therefore be planned.
As the specialist site specifies, the details of the products expected in the coming weeks are not yet known, but the possibility of marketing new iPad Pros equipped with Oled screens seems to be consolidating; the arrival of new accessories in Apple points of sale would also be news.
Apple might be preparing something for this week
According to Mark Gurman, a Bloomberg journalist who is often well informed about Apple, the brand could thus launch a new Magic Keyboard and a new Apple Pencil stylus (dedicated to certain iPads only). At the same time, persistent rumors suggest that Apple is planning to introduce a new 12.9-inch iPad Air. A diagonal never seen on this range until now.
The launches of these new products could take place over the coming weeks, between March and April, underlines Mark Gurman, who also mentions a simple “series of videos and marketing campaigns” for these different products. An approach that Apple has already adopted in the past for the marketing of certain products, such as the latest iteration of the Mac Mini or the Apple TV, for example. The new MacBook Air M3, announced this 4 March, were also revealed through this means.
Regardless, here are the products Apple could announce between now and April in addition to the new MacBook Air M3s:
- Two new iPad Pros with Oled screens, a slightly thinner chassis, a front camera oriented for landscape format, and potentially a partially redesigned rear island (grouping the cameras).
- Two new iPad Air equipped with M2 chips, including a 12.9-inch one.
- A new Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro, with an aluminum chassis and larger trackpad.
- At least a new Apple Pencil stylus.
- A new color for the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus.
- Possibly new iPhone cases and new Apple Watch bands.
