Apple would push two strong novelties to counter the tumbling sales

Apple would launch two new iPad Pro in 2024 in 11 and 13 inches. Three new features are coming in all: the predictable M3 chip, but also the arrival of an Oled screen and a new Magic Keyboard.

iPads are quietly dominating the tablet game. It’s not just about quality products, receiving excellent ratings on Frandroid or elsewhere, but products that are selling well, with 37% market share in the last quarter, or nearly 11 million tablets sold. This is underlined by Mark Gurman, the journalist of Bloomberg in its weekly Power On newsletter.

Nevertheless, since 2020, sales have continued to slow down, and Apple must undoubtedly beef up its game if the Apple brand wants to keep its comfortable lead. This is the role of the iPad Pro, which should evolve strongly in 2024 as the advance Bloomberg.

Oled and magic keyboard

According to the specialist journalist, Apple would renew its range between spring or summer 2024. Three main new features would be on the program.

First the arrival, finally, of a OLED screen. This display technology offers more vibrant colors, excellent contrast and often goes hand in hand with greater brightness on smartphones. Speaking of the latter, the iPads suffered the blow against the iPhones in terms of screens, since since the iPhone X, released in 2017, it is indeed Oled that equips apple phones. Two screen sizes would be preferred: 11 inches and 13 inches.

The keyboard, which Apple calls Magic Keyboard, would also be reviewed and corrected. The goal would be to get even closer to a PC experience, in particular thanks to the addition of a larger touchpad. Finally, let’s move on to the arrival of the M3 chip which will deliver more power than on the M2.

The iPad Pro (2024), with its new screen, could therefore relaunch a range that has tended to become very predictable since 2018 and the redesign of its design.
