AppleCare+: a new formula for protection against theft and loss of an iPhone

Apart from a possible battery problem or broken screen, smartphones are also at the mercy of theft or loss. This is why Apple is adding a new level of protection to AppleCare+ covering these latter scenarios.

AppleCare +, the device insurance formula offered directly by Apple, has so far allowed you to protect your iPhone from everyday hassles in France. It is both a hardware warranty (covering up to two incidents of accidental damage per 12-month period), software assistance and a centralized platform to solve your problem as quickly as possible, all billed between 4.49 and 11.49 € per month (or between 89 and 229 € for two years) depending on its iPhone model. From now on, it is also possible to opt for a second formula covering the loss or theft of your phone.

It is obviously more expensive, since it takes between €11.49 per month for an iPhone 11 to 13 (€229 for two years) and €14.49 per month for an iPhone 13 Pro or Pro Max (€289 for two years). You should also know that only one loss or theft type event is covered per year, and that additional costs apply (as is already the case if it is necessary to replace the screen or the back of the phone, with a €29 package). For the loss or theft, and therefore the replacement of his iPhone, the deductible to be paid will be 129 €.

Remember that AppleCare + insurance is automatically renewed up to a maximum of 5 years. It is possible to subscribe when purchasing your iPhone or within 60 days directly in the settings of your phone, online or by contacting Apple’s after-sales service.
