Applications: Forvia becomes sole shareholder of Faurecia Atpoide Automotive

(AOF) – Forvia has successfully completed the acquisition of the remaining 50% shares in the Faurecia Aptoide Automotive (FAA) joint venture from the Aptoide Android application store. The automotive supplier becomes the sole shareholder of this joint venture created in 2019 and thus strengthens its position in the automotive applications distribution market. “We aim to make a significant contribution to the future of connected cars, setting new standards for the automotive industry,” says Managing Director Patrick Koller.

“We will reach a market share of 20% in automotive applications by 2025 and 35% by 2030,” he adds.

The FAA applications store integrates the main applications in music streaming, games, video and even navigation in the automotive ecosystem. Amazon Music, Spotify, Webex by Cisco, TikTok, Zoom, Trivia Crack (etermax), Rovio and NNG iGo Navigation are part of FAA’s application catalog.
