Laurent Maistret had been accused of cheating during his participation in Koh-Lanta, Le Légende. But that should not prevent the adventurer from replacing Moundir at the presentation of the program Les Apprentis aventuriers on W9, as announced by Le Parisien
Koh Lanta is back with a new season called The Cursed Totem, this Tuesday, February 22. The last season of the adventure game was marked by cheating stories. Laurent Maistret is among the candidates who have been accused of having participated in clandestine dinners. But according to the adventurer, his accusations would have had no impact on his future projects: “I’m in high demand, assures the ex-candidate in the columns of the Parisian. I even have a book in the works. In the end, there was nothing negative.” Laurent Maistret should even take control of the issue of Apprentice adventurersbroadcast on W9, to replace Moundir, according to The Parisian.
Despite the assurance displayed by the ex-participant of Dance with the starsthe project of the W9 show almost did not happen. “They fear that proof of Koh-Lanta’s cheating, such as the photo of the dinners, will come out during the broadcast”, indicates the adventurer’s entourage. A photo that ALP, the production company of Koh Lanta, tried to find, in vain. But, according to The Parisian, the chain seems ready to take the risk. The daily also argues that Laurent Maistret would have been excluded, at the last moment, from the Beijing express season celebrity special, where he was supposed to team up with Yoann Riou, the sports journalist. In the France Télévision group, too, the reputation of candidates accused of cheating has taken a hit: “Their image is scorched for a while”, confirms an executive of France Télévisions. And to add: “We will avoid putting them in Fort Boyard this summer.”
Laurent Maistret comes out of silence after accusations of cheating on Koh-Lanta, The Legend
After the accusations of cheating, Laurent Maistret was out of silence. “This story proves how much there was so much brainwashing from the start,” he assured in an interview with TV 7 days last December. “I have the impression that we wanted our skin to Claude and me. We are the two candidates with the most media coverage and I believe that some people did not like that we reached the final”, he continued. He also regretted the fact that some candidates, who “call themselves friends, ran on TV sets to relay and affirm rumours, without proof and without knowing what is true or not.”
