The 16-year-old, whose grandfather had already worked at voestalpine for 40 years, had long known that he wanted to pursue his training in mechanical engineering technology: “Although I also tried out a different direction, metalworking was always my thing Favourite. A lot of things are automated, but I still enjoy creating workpieces with my own hands,” says Jonas, who wants to become a master craftsman after completing his apprenticeship.
