Philipp is being trained to become a specialist in machining production techniques such as drilling, turning, milling, grinding, sawing or 3D printing at the main voestalpine site in Linz (see also the video above). “Friends and family members are already working here, including as a machining technician, which is why I decided to do this apprenticeship after polytechnic,” says the 17-year-old from the Rohrbach district.
