Dear PS Plus Extra subscribers, take note! In April 2024, eleven PS5 and PS4 games will leave the service, including several gems, which is very sad. As always, we will have to act quickly.
The PS Plus Extra platform is preparing to say goodbye to a series of PS5 and PS4 games next month. This update, a little later than usual, still gives you time to complete some of them. Because after all, it’s never really too late. With a little motivation and time, it’s possible to finish some of them, even if some titles don’t really have a lifespan to speak of. See instead.
Many departures on the PS Plus Extra
Life is an eternal cycle, and that’s a bit of what the free games that will leave PS Plus Extra remind us. Here is a complete summary of the 11 games which will leave the service on April 16, 2024. In the lot, there are really little nuggets…
- Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered (PS4) : This remastered version of the original game offers a nostalgic experience for fans of the Ghostbusters series, allowing you to play as a new recruit alongside the iconic Ghostbusters.
- Bassmaster Fishing 2022 (PS5, PS4) : a game for fishing enthusiasts, offering a realistic simulation and various tournaments inspired by real Bassmaster competitions.
- Necromunda: Underhive Wars (PS4) : a dive into the dark and brutal universe of Warhammer 40,000 in this turn-based strategy game, where every decision can be fatal.
- Chicken Police – Paint It RED (PS4) : a unique narrative investigation game, where you play chicken detectives in a city populated by anthropomorphic animals.
- Soul Calibur 6 (PS4) : the sixth entry in the famous fighting game series, known for its dynamic fights and iconic characters.
- Fighting EX Layer (PS4) : a fighting game that offers an innovative game system and a varied cast, a spiritual descendant of the Street Fighter EX series.
- R-Type Final 2 (PS4) : the long-awaited sequel to the popular side-scrolling shooter series, offering modernized graphics and challenging levels.
- Gunvolt Chronicles Luminous Avenger IX (PS4) : a side-scrolling action game that puts you in the shoes of Copen, a hero capable of annihilating his enemies with speed and style.
- Reel Fishing: Road Trip Adventure (PS4) : another relaxing fishing experience where you can explore beautiful landscapes and catch various species of fish.
- Everspace (PS4) : a rogue-like space combat game, offering free space exploration, intense combat and dynamic storytelling.
- Dangerous Golf (PS4) : an unconventional arcade sports game where the objective is to cause as much destruction as possible by playing golf inside unexpected locations.
Some of these games, notably fighting titles like Soul Calibur 6 and Fighting EX Layer, offer almost infinite replayability, while the majority of other titles feature reasonable play times. This means you could probably finish several of these games before the April 16, 2024 deadline if you have them on your waitlist.
If you’re a PS Plus Extra subscriber, consider prioritizing these games before they leave. This is a golden opportunity to discover or rediscover these titles before they are no longer available in the catalog.

To make things easier for you, here is the time needed to complete each game:
- Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered (PS4) : About 8-12 hours to complete the main story.
- Bassmaster Fishing 2022 (PS5, PS4) : A campaign can take around 10-20 hours, but fishing enthusiasts can spend much more time in free mode.
