(AOF) – APRR’s consolidated revenue excluding Construction amounted to 802.5 million euros in the third quarter of 2022, compared to 797.3 million euros in the third quarter of 2021, an increase of 0, 7% over one year and 9.2% compared to 2019. Total traffic, measured in number of kilometers travelled, recorded in the third quarter of 2022 a drop of 2.3% compared to the previous year and an increase by 3.9% compared to 2019. Traffic over the quarter for light vehicles fell by 2.6% and that for heavy goods vehicles by 0.1%.
Over 9 months, APRR’s consolidated revenue excluding Construction amounted to €2.151 billion at September 30, 2022, compared to €1.91 billion at September 30, 2021, an increase of 12.6% over one year and by 8.3% compared to 2019. Total traffic, measured in the number of kilometers travelled, increased by 11.9% on September 30, 2022 compared to the previous year and by 2.9 % compared to 2019.

Threat to the European energy system
The leading importer of German gas, Uniper posts 54% of the volumes it buys from Russia. Following the war in Ukraine, the group had to acquire the volumes it lacked on the spot market, the prices of which had exploded. In difficulty, he requested aid from the German state, which raises concerns for all European energy companies. Nevertheless the German RWE and the French Engie reacted by arguing that their situation was very different. RWE stressed that it was less dependent on Russian gas. As for Engie, it benefits from the diversification of its sources of supply, with an increase in the volumes of LNG delivered in France and contracts with Norway and Algeria. The group has also adapted its hedging strategy to strengthen its resilience.
