Amber Heard’s role in Aquaman 2 has apparently been cut. That’s what the actress claimed in the Johnny Depp trial.

In the court case between Johnny Depp (58) and Amber Heard (36), the actress explained that her role in “Aquaman 2” was allegedly cut. She “fought really hard to stay in the movie” explained the 36-year-old according to the industry magazine “The Hollywood Reporter”. According to their statements, those responsible would no longer have wanted them in the film.

Now she appears to be appearing in a “very slimmed-down” version of her role Mera. Heard received new versions of the script from which action scenes, for example, were deleted. “A lot” was removed. There had previously been rumors that Heard’s role in the upcoming film would be limited. Recently has one Petition on the portal “change.org” exceeded the mark of 4.2 million signatures. Petitioners are calling for Heard to be completely removed from Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.

Johnny Depp lost ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ role

Depp, in turn, had lost his “Pirates of the Caribbean” role. His former Hollywood agent, Christian Carino, confirmed the actor’s claim in the defamation trial in late April that he was dropped from the franchise because of Heard’s allegations of domestic violence.

Johnny Depp has sued Amber Heard for $50 million over an article she published in the Washington Post in 2018. In it, she claimed to be a victim of domestic violence. She did not mention her ex-husband by name. Depp claims the post nonetheless ruined his career, damaged his reputation and cost him a lot of money as a result. Heard has filed a $100 million counterclaim against her ex.

The couple got married in 2015. The two separated again in 2016 and divorced in 2017. Both parties have repeatedly accused each other of domestic violence. The actor lost a defamation lawsuit against the newspaper “The Sun” in Great Britain in 2020. The newspaper had described Depp in an article as a “wife beater”. Depp has denied all allegations of domestic violence.
