The DCEU is history! With the start of “Aquaman 2: Lost Kingdom,” the last film in the DC universe to date landed in German cinemas on December 21, 2023. After “Joker: Folie à Deux”, which will be released in 2024 and takes place outside of all DC universes, “Superman Legacy” awaits us in July 2025 and thus the cinematic starting signal of the new DC universe under the leadership of James Gunn.

So is “Aquaman 2” a glorious conclusion to the superhero series that began with Zack Snyder’s “Man of Steel”? If you don’t want to answer this question yourself in the cinema, you can simply watch “Lost Kingdom” in the cinema.

In the USA you can already rent and buy the film, which is called “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom”. On iTunes you pay $19.99 or $24.99, depending on whether you want to stream the film just once or repeatedly. The release on the US streaming service MAX is expected around March 2024.

In Germany it is already clear when “Aquaman 2” will appear on stream. The film will land on Amazon or Apple TV on February 5, 2024, and you can pre-order it for 21.99 euros. You don’t have the opportunity to rent the film here yet, so you’ll probably have to wait until the film is released on Blu-Ray on March 21, 2024.

In Germany, “Aquaman 2” will be shown on Sky and WOW at an as yet unknown date. Since a little more than six months passed between the theatrical release and the streaming release on WOW for “The Flash,” a release is expected at the end of June 2024.
