(CercleFinance.com) – ArcelorMittal announces that it is suspending its steel activities in Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine, to ensure the safety and security of its personnel and assets.
The company says production had already been reduced, with the plant operating at a technical minimum, at almost a third of its normal production levels.
The process of idling all the blast furnaces began today and will take between seven and ten days, the company says.
