Archos: Logic Instrument discusses a takeover in the USA

(CercleFinance.com) – Archos announced on Monday that its subsidiary Logic Instrument had entered into exclusive discussions with a view to acquiring 100% of the capital of the American Glacier Computer.

As an integrator, Glacier deploys mobile solutions for outdoor use and in difficult conditions with major American companies, directly or via a network of distributors.

The company has a turnover of around 10 million dollars and has developed its own range of products (Glacier Kodiak) in order to meet the needs of multinationals in hardened computers for vehicles.

The company also distributes rugged products from manufacturers such as Getac, Panasonic or Zebra.

According to Archos, Glacier has more than 300 major US corporate clients ranging from production, logistics, industry, transportation and construction.

The French group points out that such an acquisition would double the size of Logic Instrument and exceed 20 million euros in turnover in 2023.

As a reminder, Logic Instrument has set itself the objective of exceeding 50 million euros in turnover in 2024 and becoming one of the leading manufacturers in Europe of rugged mobile solutions for the armed forces, industry and the services.

The two companies are working together to reach a final agreement before the end of 2022.

On the Paris Stock Exchange, the Archos share rose by 2.2% following this announcement on Monday morning, while the Logic Instrument title rose by more than 13%.
