The two broadcasters ARD and ZDF have connected their media libraries. The offers can now be accessed on both platforms.

Crazy world: Anyone who missed the TV flagship on the first, “Tatort”, can now also watch the crime thriller on the Stream ZDF media library. The same applies to all other programs on the two public broadcasters, because the former competitors ARD and ZDF have merged their media libraries.

And “another function has been available since this week. Both media libraries mutually recommend their content from the most important genres such as series, films, documentaries, information, culture and science,” as the media companies announced in a joint press release on Wednesday.

“Simple and convenient” and “high-quality content”

“The streaming network can now be experienced in concrete terms by users. It offers an easily accessible public broadcasting cosmos that combines high-quality content and responsible use of data and technology,” enthuses ZDF director Dr. Norbert Himmler.

“We want people to be able to use the digital offerings of public broadcasting in Germany as easily and conveniently as possible,” adds ARD chairman Prof. Dr. Kai Gniffke. And he adds enthusiastically: “We offer more information, culture, entertainment and knowledge than any other streaming provider and it has never been easier to experience it all.”
