1er november, Disney+ will enter a new era by launching its subscription offer with advertising. At the same time, Canal+ is preparing its subscribers for the change, which will take place a few days later.
The American streaming service Disney+ will take a 180-degree turn shortly. Wednesday 1er November, the platform will offer three distinct offers to its subscribers, one of which with advertising, symbolically of a gradual end to the famous account sharing. Canal+ offers several offers that directly include Disney+. The encrypted channel is taking the lead, now informing its customers of upcoming changes by email. Disney+ will split into three offers
For the moment and until next month, Disney+ is based on a single offer at 8.99 euros per month or 89.90 euros per year, depending on whether you choose the monthly or annual subscription. 1er November, the service will increase from one to three offers:
- A “Standard with advertising” offer at 5.99 euros per month (no annual subscription possible) in Full HD 1080p with possible broadcast of content on 2 screens simultaneously.
- A “Standard” offer at 8.99 euros/month (or 89.90 euros/year) in Full HD 1080p with 2 screens simultaneously.
- And a “Premium” offer at 11.99 euros/month (or 119.90 euros/year) in UHD/HDR with 4 screens simultaneously and Dolby Atmos.
The Walt Disney Company indicates that current Disney+ subscribers will keep their subscription, which will be transformed into a “Premium” offer. But they will have the possibility of switching to the “Standard” offer or to the offer with advertising. However, what about Disney+ users who benefit from the platform via their Canal+ subscription?
Canal+ leaves the choice to subscribers
From November 6, 2023, the Disney+ offer included in the various Canal+ subscriptions will become the “Disney+ Standard” offer, as the company indicates in an email sent to its customers. “ You always have the possibility to modify your subscription, add or remove options independently, by going to your Customer Area Subscription section », Indicates Canal+.
As a reminder, Canal+ offers different ways to benefit from a Disney+ subscription:
- For example, by subscribing to the Canal+ Ciné Séries offer at 34.99 euros/month for the first 12 months or at 45.99 euros/month as a monthly subscription.
- By choosing the Canal+ Friends and Family offer at 49.99 euros/month for the first 12 months or 79.99 euros/month for a monthly subscription.
- For those aged 26 and under, Disney+ is included in the Canal+ Ciné Séries offer at just 22.99 euros/month as a monthly subscription, with no commitment.
