“Are you a patriot? Join us”: The organizers of the “tribune of the military” are planning a march in Paris on March 26

In order to defend “French pride” two weeks before the first round of the presidential election, soldiers will parade in Paris this Saturday, if at least the prefecture authorizes it.

Disintegration of the nation, protection of civilizational values, honor of France… The instigators of the letter from the generals reiterate and invite themselves into the race for the Élysée. After the famous platform which had created the controversy almost a year ago, the members of the collective “Place d’armes” will parade through the streets of Paris from 2 p.m., from Denfert-Rochereau (14th arrondissement) to Invalides (7th arrondissement ).

But according to information from Le Parisien, the Paris prefecture has not – for the time being – accepted the demonstration.

If the “French Pride March” will have everything of a military parade, it will however take place without an active officer. Soldiers without uniform but with medals, berets, caps or even flags, will open the procession. Behind them, the wounded and the wives of killed soldiers will follow, in front of the children of harkis. The civilians, also accompanied by French flags, will close this panachard march.

A strategic date and a clear objective

A week after the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Évian agreements and two weeks before the first round of the presidential election, the objective of the marchers seems clear.

“We would like to know what the candidates think, and for that we are going to ask them ten questions”, affirmed at the microphone of CNEWS Jean-Pierre Fabre-Bernadac, captain of the gendarmerie in retirement and one of the leaders of the demonstration.

One of the questions would relate to the commitment in the French Army for a candidate of dual nationality.
