are your bank details up to date? , News/News Taxes

If you are eligible for a refund of income tax 2021 – the payment of which will take place on July 21 or August 2 – or if, on the contrary, you have a balance to pay to the administration – withdrawn from September 26 (in four instalments, if it is greater than €300) – make sure that your bank details are up to date because these operations are carried out automatically by transfer or direct debit.

In order to avoid any potential payment incident, the Directorate General of Public Finance asks citizens to inform of any change in bank details before July 1 for those who benefit from a tax refund. For those who will have to pay a balance in September, this change can take place until September 14 inclusive.

These changes can be made from your private space on the Impots.gouv.fr website in the “Manage my direct debit at source” section or by telephone on 809 401 401 (non-surcharged call), Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
