(AOF) – If the scientific council of Euronext indices made no changes within the CAC 40 index at the end of its September review, it did, however, announce three departures and three arrivals for the SBF 120 index. Argan, Lectra and X-Fab will replace Altarea, Antin Infrastructure Partners and Casino Guichard within the SBF120 index from September 18.
Leavers
The struggling distributor Casino will leave the index after losing almost 80% of its value since the start of the year. At the end of July, Casino announced an “agreement in principle” with “some of its main creditors” on the recapitalization and restructuring offer from billionaires Daniel Kretinsky and Marc Ladreit de Lacharrière backed by the British fund, Attestor. This operation will result in a massive dilution of Casino shareholders.
The real estate developer Altarea and the private equity company specializing in infrastructure, Antin Infrastructure Partners, have lost 26% and 34% respectively since January 1.
New entrants
New member of the SBF 120, X-Fab has posted growth of almost 50% since the start of the year. The foundry specializing in semiconductor technologies benefited from strong demand in target markets: automotive, industry and medical.
Argan, for its part, recorded a negative performance in 2023, losing almost 4%. Although real estate is experiencing difficulties, Argan nevertheless specializes in the growing segment of logistics platforms.
As for Lectra, its stock fell by 18% over the period. The specialist in automatic leather or textile cutting systems, mainly for the fashion markets, suffered from the deterioration of the economic situation in the industrial sector.
