Argan: The Albon logistics project doubles in size

(CercleFinance.com) – The Argan warehouse group announced last night the delivery of the second phase of its logistics project in Albon, in the Rhône Valley, an extension that will allow the site to more than double in size.

These three new cells of 18,000 m2, accompanied by offices, will bring the total surface area to some 31,000 m2, while improving the site’s carbon footprint.

The first phase of the project was delivered in 2019, when the distributor of organic and dietary food products Nutrition & Santé moved into a 13,000 m2 logistics site, consisting of two storage cells and 400 m2 of offices. .

In a press release, Argan indicates that Nutrition & Santé will rent a new cell out of the three included in the extension, while Bert & You, a transport and logistics expert, will become the tenant of the two remaining cells.

Note that the second phase of the project is stamped ‘Aut0nom’, which means that the warehouse produces its own green energy, a new standard developed by Argan.

Thanks to a photovoltaic power plant intended for the self-consumption of the occupants installed on the roof, the heating and the cooling of the site are ensured by the installation of electric heat pumps, while the lighting is 100% LED.
