(CercleFinance.com) – Argan announces the publication of its 2023 ESG report, detailing its strategy for the period 2023-2030 and including a review of its 2022 actions.
Among the achievements of recent years, Argan highlights ‘a strong reduction’ of the environmental impact of its activities, the maintenance of ‘exemplary’ practices in terms of governance, as well as a ‘strong attention paid to social and societal’.
The new strategy includes in particular the definition of a roadmap for reducing carbon emissions in line with an SBTi 1.5°C trajectory. By 2030, and in comparison with the 2022 carbon footprint, we are aiming for a -70% reduction in emissions. of Scope 1, a Net Zero objective for Scope 2 and a halving of emissions linked to the operation of our warehouses for Scope 3′.
Argan also mentions ‘the systematic deployment of Autonom®-certified warehouses’ and the strengthening of ESG criteria in the Group’s business ethics.
