"Aristocats", "Peter Pan" … Children deprived of these classics on Disney +: Isabelle Mergault and Wendy Bouchard rebel: Current Woman The MAG

It is a decision that has surely made people unhappy. Recently, the youngest followers of the streaming platform Disney + were able to see the movies Peter Pan, Dumbo, The Jungle Book, The Aristocats or The Lady and the Tramp deleted from their accounts. Indeed, the famous firm has decided to remove these classics from child profiles (and child profiles only) for a very specific reason: they would contain too many damaging stereotypes. However, they are still accessible on adult accounts. Disney still intends to warn its older customers by putting an alert message at each new reading: "This program includes dated representations and / or negative treatment of people or cultures. These stereotypes were out of place then and still are today. Rather than removing this content, we would like to recognize its harmful influence so as not to repeat the same mistakes, to engage in dialogue and to build a more inclusive future, all together. Disney is committed to creating stories on inspiring themes and ambitious which reflect the tremendous diversity and cultural and human richness around the world ". But this decision seems to have surprised a famous actress who is far from having her tongue in her pocket.

Isabelle Mergault outraged by Disney's decision

Very active on Twitter, Isabelle Mergault quickly reacted to the magazine's tweet Current values relating the facts. "Its good. I am leaving the planet. Who is coming with me ?" launched the mother, stunned by the decision of the firm with big ears. A call of the foot quickly heard by the journalist Wendy Bouchard, who was quick to respond, still on Twitter: "I'm packing, wait. " Unfortunately, Christine Bravo's ex-acolyte does not seem to have the patience to wait for his comrade. "We are complete ma'am. Do not insist" she replied ironically.
