ARK: Survival Ascended, a late release and other bad news for the remaster under Unreal Engine 5

It is on April 1st that Wild Card Studio had made some funny announcements regarding his series ARK, yet very real. He will release a remaster ofARK: Survival Ascendedpaid for all even if you owned the original ARK: Survival Evolved, which will simply see its PC, PS4 and Xbox One servers shut down when the new edition launches. This costly and mandatory switch to a new version inevitably displeased fans, but the developers have not reconsidered their decision since.

They are in any case behind the development ofARK: Survival Ascended. They announce this week thatit will not finally be released in August on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, but in October 2023. It was planned that the free extension The Island and the pay Scorched Earth are available upon release: this will not be the case, as they are now scheduled for December, which is why the base price will be lowered from €49.99 to €44.99, with an introductory offer at €39.99 €. THE Ragnarok-DLC And Aberration will then be available in the first quarter of 2024, and the following later.

ServersARK: Survival Evolved will now close on September 30 in any case and, in other bad news, it will not be possible to recover your progress right away. Backup import will only be added from December, so you will have to start all over again if you want to play SAA from October. The game will remain stamped as in Early Access until early 2024. Still, there are a lot of sticking points between the community and Wild Card Studiowhich works for the record also on a ARK II with a campaign for next year.

We still haven’t seen any gameplay ofARK: Survival Ascendedthe grind under Unreal Engine 5.2 to be presented only near the exit. If you want to take advantage of the last weeks ofARK: Survival Evolvedit is sold from €13.51 on Amazon.co.uk.
