Armin Mueller-Stahl: "My birthdays have lost importance"

Armin Mueller-Stahl celebrates his 90th birthday in mid-December. But regarding his anniversary, the actor is sad.

Armin Mueller-Stahl ("Three times Germany and back") celebrates his 90th birthday on December 17th. But the actor is not really euphoric. "My birthdays have lost more and more of their importance for me over the years. Also because on these days I become even more aware that I am getting closer and closer to the end of life and there is a certain melancholy," explains the world star Interview with the magazine "Super Illu".

How does he look back on his previous life? "I'm not proud of anything. I can't do much with the word because it's so ego-laden. I just always tried to do my job as well as I was able to." This is his philosophy to this day.

"So hopefully the bad dream will end soon"

Because of the corona pandemic, Mueller-Stahl recently withdrew – to his house on the Baltic Sea. He likes to paint there. With a view to the pandemic, however, the actor is optimistic: "Fortunately, you can already see light on the horizon." Finally, Donald Trump was "voted out – at least it currently looks like it – and a corona vaccine is ready. Hopefully, the bad dream will end soon."
