This was stated by Hidetaka Miyazaki, President of FromSoftwarein a long interview given to IGN. A title that should delight players who also like to build miniatures Gundambecause assembly is at the heart of Miyazaki’s speech:

I think the real impetus for this project, or at least one of the real draws for me, comes from this aspect of assembly. Being able to really freely assemble and customize the robot, I think that’s what we’re really focusing on in Armored Core. And having robots or mechs as a theme is really that high level of freedom that comes with adjusting each individual piece, and how that affects the gameplay and the properties of your robot in combat.

Instead of comparing the gameplay of Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon to Dark Soulsthe lead designer Masaru Yamamura evokes as for him rather Sekiro: Shadows Die Twicewith aggressive combat very focused on action and offensive moves. Thus, by continuously attacking the enemy, it will be possible to break his guard posture and inflict heavy damage on him. The clashes also promise to be dynamic, with melee attacks, but also from a distance. The difficulty will also be there, but it will be more malleablein particular by properly personalizing its mecha depending on the enemies fought.
