Netflix has released a trailer for the Schwarzenegger documentary. In it, the film star also talks about his private problems.

Arnold Schwarzenegger (75) speaks in a first trailer on the new Netflix documentary “Arnold” about the difficult time in his private life. “People will remember my successes,” says the Hollywood star and politician to the camera. He adds: “You will also remember these mistakes.” It was “very hard for my marriage, for my relationship with my children”. “I’ve caused enough harm to my family. I’ll have to live with it for the rest of my life.”

Schwarzenegger is probably addressing the failure of his marriage. In 2011, Maria Shriver (67) and Schwarzenegger ended their relationship after 25 years of marriage. The two have four children together. A short time later it was revealed that Schwarzenegger had a child with a housekeeper. Joseph Baena (25) was born in 1997.

From Austria to the American Dream

Netflix says the three-part documentary series, which premieres June 7, will chronicle Arnold Schwarzenegger’s journey, beginning in Austria to the highest levels of the American dream. “In a series of candid interviews, Schwarzenegger, his friends, enemies, co-stars and observers cover everything from his days pumping iron to his triumphs in Hollywood, his days as Governor of the State of California and the joys and turbulences of his family life.” .

Maria Shriver was at the convent

Maria Shriver only spoke about the end of her marriage in February. Accordingly, she sought advice and help in a monastery. “I went to a secluded monastery to have peace and seek advice,” explained the niece of assassinated US President John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) in the podcast “Making Space with Hoda Kotb”. The leading nun of the convent told her at the end of her stay: “You can’t come and live here. But you can go out and become Maria.” Shriver: “I was sobbing: who is that?”

She never gave herself permission, Maria Shriver continued, “to feel, to be vulnerable, to be weak, to be brought to my knees, and the world took me there. And then I said, okay, God, I accept this and will learn everything I can about my role.”
