Instead, this year’s Halloween celebrations in Itaewon, Seoul’s starting district, ended in a national tragedy: at least 146 people died after a crowd on Sunday night and another 150 were injured, some of them seriously. Many of the victims are believed to be young women in their 20s, a local fire department official said.
