Around 80 meters deep – hunter with car crashed in steep terrain

A Styrian (43) was on Monday in a forest in Hermagor when he suddenly got off the forest road with his car and fell about 80 meters over steep terrain.

On Monday around 10 p.m., a man from the Graz area drove his father-in-law’s car alone into a wooded area in St. Lorenzen im Gitschtal because he wanted to hunt. For reasons that have not yet been clarified, the 43-year-old came off the forest path and fell about 80 meters over steep terrain. The driver was thrown out of the vehicle during a fall, but managed to fight his way back onto the forest path and contact his father-in-law. “He first brought the man to the Gailtal Clinic with injuries of an undetermined degree, later he was transferred to the LKH Villach,” says the police. The accident car is still in rough terrain because the rescue is extremely difficult.
