LA HAGUE (Reuters) – A Polish man suspected of masterminding the murder of famed Dutch crime reporter Peter R. De Vries was arrested on Monday, Dutch prosecutors said.
“A suspect has been arrested, a 27-year-old Polish man, for coordinating the men who carried out the murder,” prosecutor’s office spokesman Brechtje van de Moosdijk told Reuters.
Popular Dutch television personality Peter R. De Vries was shot dead last year in July on a busy street in Amsterdam. His assassination sparked a wave of mourning and anger across the country.
Two men, the alleged shooter and the driver involved in the assassination are currently on trial in the Netherlands.
