As recounted The Journal du Pays yonnais, in December 2022, the police arrested, in La Roche-sur-Yon in Vendée, a driver who had a license canceled in 2007 due to a hit-and-run after an accident, which he himself had caused. Heard by the court on Thursday February 1, this 44-year-old man, also a father of four children, declared that he had “not had time to iron it”.
An “exceptional” trip to “buy Christmas gifts”
A defense questioned by the judge. “Between 2007 and 2024, you should still have time to iron it,” he told the driver, again according to the local media.
