Arrested – Trio of thieves steal from sleeping train passengers

Robbed on the night train: While the passengers were sleeping, a trio of thieves stole valuables worth 15,000 euros last month.

Jewellery, cash and electronic devices: A trio of thieves have been accused of robbing sleeping passengers on night trains for at least a month. A previously convicted Slovak (51) and two Serbs (48 and 52) stole more than 15,000 euros with the stolen goods. After investigations and searches, the Salzburg State Criminal Police Office was now able to locate their hiding place, including the valuables, near the Wels main station. The trio was arrested and taken to Wels prison.
