Arthur Noyer’s parents outraged by his remarks

Nordahl Lelandais is currently appearing at the Isère Assize Court for his responsibility in the death of Maëlys de Araujo. For three weeks, the court and the relatives of the victims have been waiting for explanations for the crimes committed by Nordahl Lelandais in 2017. He is accused of having kidnapped and killed Maëlys de Araujo, but also of having sexually assaulted his two little cousins.

While he acknowledges most of the charges against him, the accused has not given all the details of his crimes. His trial is a delicate moment but eagerly awaited by the families of the victims who are waiting for the truth to mourn.

While explaining his gesture against the little girl, Nordahl Lelandais explained that Maëlys reminded him of Arthur Noyer. In addition to the kidnapping and murder of little Maëlys, Nordahl Lelandais also admitted to having killed Corporal Arthur Noyer on the night of April 11 to 12, 2017. He was sentenced to 20 years in prison for this murder.

A justification that Arthur Noyer’s parents reject

The night Nordahl Lelandais kidnapped Maëlys while they were attending a wedding, the latter would have experienced a resonance, that of the murder of Arthur Noyer, which he had already committed before. “I’m not a serial killer like what has been said… There was the death of this poor Corporal Noyer I was nothing after” he explained during a hearing.

For Arthur Noyer’s parents, this explanation is inadmissible and lacks respect for the memory of their deceased son. Invited on the set of BFM TV, they appeared exceeded by the testimony of Nordahl Lelandais.

“We try to be respectful and worthy of everyone, but when it’s too much, it’s too much”explained Didier Noyer on the set of BFM TV. “He’s a murderer!” recalled Arthur Noyer’s mother. “He was judged, condemned, he did not appeal, he does not have to go back on it, to sully the memory of Arthur”, she believes. The parents of the corporal killed by Nordahl Lelandais refuse that the accused use the death of their son to reduce his responsibility for his actions.

“He is a personality known and recognized as responsible for his actions”, explained the father of Arthur Noyer, considering “shocking” from his part as bishopr “a reminiscence of Arthur”.

Arthur Noyer’s mother is in contact with Maëlys d’Araujo’s mother. Both support each other in their pain which echoes each other. Cécile Noyer confided that they sent each other messages and recalled how much she supported the mother of the victim.
