ChatGPT continues to be deployed almost everywhere. And this time, it will be directly in the vehicles of one of the best-known brands in France!

A year ago, many economic players quickly grasped the use they could make of generative AI such as ChatGPT. With her knowledge, she can be a particularly effective assistant, especially since it is also possible to converse vocally with her. A possibility which is beginning to be exploited by automobile manufacturers, like the juggernaut Stellantis.

A deployment this week

The Peugeots will have a new face. They will in fact benefit from the contribution of ChatGPT, according to a press release from the Stellantis group. The deployment of the chatbot is being implemented this Wednesday, January 31 in five European countries (France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Great Britain), for a first phase of testing.

Since ChatGPT has been available, we have worked to integrate it into our own systems. And we are happy to be the first to offer this innovation in Europe. This is a development which is a strategic axis of Stellantis » welcomed the software manager for Stellantis, Yves Bonnefont.

Stellantis follows German manufacturers

We will introduce ChatGPT in all cars, including the new e-3008, and also small and compact utility vehicles “, for his part, specified the director of the Peugeot brand Jérôme Micheron. Drivers will be able to use ChatGPT both to operate car controls and for questions unrelated to the vehicle.

This integration of ChatGPT in Peugeot cars should be generalized later this year. The brand is not the first to take the plunge, since Mercedes had already announced tests on its vehicles in the United States last year, to be followed at the start of the year by Volkswagen, which explained that it wanted to implement this measure in the coming months. Could we be at the start of a fundamental trend?
