Asked in the Buzz TV of Figaro this Thursday, February 10, Nathalie Lévy returned to Pascale Clark’s criticism of the new edition of En aparté.
20 years ago, Canal+ launched En aparté, a program with an innovative concept, during which the guest found himself alone in a studio equipped with cameras, simply guided by the voice of Pascale Clark. The program, which saw many personalities like Simone Veil, Michael Youn or Charles Aznavour, ended in 2007 following declining audiences. But now in 2021, the private channel decides to relaunch En aparté, to the delight of nostalgics. Only, this time, no Pascale Clark at the microphone but Nathalie Lévy, a journalist previously installed at BFMTV. A decision that may have somewhat offended the former host of the show, the latter having not minced his words with regard to the new edition. “It’s ugly. To the eye, it’s ugly, it’s poorly lit“, had declared in particular Pascale Clark in the pages of the World in January. This Thursday, when she was invited in the Buzz TV of Figaro, Nathalie Lévy answered her predecessor.I say you can’t please everyone.”dropped this one before adding: “We work in a very demanding way with a great team, very committed. There is really a belief in this format and especially in this truth (…) There is an infinite respect. There is something very elegant. I do my best and I want to give the best. There are always some that will be completely waterproof. It’s up to us to be even more specific and demanding so that as many people as possible subscribe to it.”
Was Nathalie Lévy a fan of the first version of En aparté?
“The real truth is that in March, when I read in the press that the program ‘En aparté’ was possibly back on the air, I immediately, immediately looked on the Internet to try to remember“recognized Nathalie Lévy before adding: “I watched three excerpts and there I said to myself: ‘Yes, it’s really this show that I’ve always dreamed of, it’s really the iconic show to which I want to offer something. And I never looked after it again.“
