Presented as a reboot, Mortal Kombat 1 constitutes the 12th opus of the saga born in 1992 in arcades around the world. A new opus that promises a new era of this iconic franchise, with a new combat system, new game modes and new Fatalities! Besides the main characters, Mortal Kombat 1 will also include “kaméo” type fighters, who will be able to intervene in support.
For the record, before the first mortal kombatthe designers are tasked with creating a video game derived from the film Universal Soldier, with Jean-Claude Van Damme. Ultimately, the project did not come to fruition, but the developers decided to create the character of Johnny Cage in mortal kombatlargely inspired by the Belgian actor.
Note that this Jean-Claude Van Damme skin for Johnny Cage (available at launch) will be included in the Kombat Pack, which will also allow early access to six new downloadable content (DLC) including Quan Chi, Ermac, Takeda Takahashi, Peacemaker , Omni-Man, and Homelander, as well as five new Kameo fighters.
