Ash and Pikachu will no longer appear in the Pokémon anime

All Pokemon fans were moved a few days ago when Sasha Ketchum, protagonist of the anime, has finally become the best trainer in the world, his ultimate dream. If he will have put 25 years and 1221 episodes to win the World Coronation Eight Masters Tournament and therefore be crowned best trainer, he still marked the minds of many generations with his lifelong sidekick, Pikachu. If this coronation will have filled all the fans with happiness, it would also seem that it marks the end of an era.

In effect, The Pokemon Company just announced that Ash and Pikachu, the two main characters of Pokémon, will no longer be central to the plot in the next season. From April 2023 and the new season, we will find two new characters and three starter Pokémon, in Paldea, experience a new adventure. If we do not yet know the names of these two protagonists, we know that it will be a mixed duo, with probably a young girl as the main characteras the first images suggest.

For all the people already in tears behind their screen, don’t worry, you will still have the opportunity to see the two friends for a few episodes which will conclude The series: Pokémon, the ultimate journeys. From January 13, 2023, the final chapter of this story, consisting of eleven episodes, will be released in Japan, so a little later in France. In any case, even if Sacha will no longer be the main actor in this anime, we can hope to see him again during special episodes, that’s all we hope for.
